Hey guys.

I know that this subject has been covered to some extent in the past, but I am having an issue with my instrument that I am hoping fresh eyes might be able to shed some light on.

Essentially, I turned off my TCRP1203+ / RH15 / CS15 combination a few months ago and all was well. Yesterday I turned it on again and suddenly it no longer lists the RH15 as an option in the RCS connections menu. The only handle it lists is RH1200.

My firmware version is v6.02. I have refreshed it. No joy. I have formatted the ram multiple times. No joy. I tried to upload v5.5 (the oldest firmware I have for it) but it wouldn't load. I tried loading v7.0 and above (from links that people had shared here on this site in the past) but my instrument claims that I cannot upload it because I don't have the appropriate maintenance date on my expired CCP. Essentially, v6.02 is the only version I can use and the only version I have ever used. But now it has failed.

It has been suggested previously that a radio handle with the correct name can be added manually to the device list with the correct parameters. I've tried that too. No joy. With that said, I don't understand how that would work for me anyway, as I am using the radio in the CS15 rather than LRBT. As such, it requires a link number on the radio handle, which cannot be selected when entering a device manually.

Any thoughts?

Does anyone have any firmware from around that era (v5.5 - v7.0)? It seems odd that Leica would jump from v5.5 directly to v6.02. I'm wondering if there is something in between that I could try.

Also, can anyone confirm that it is no longer possible to purchase software maintenance packages for the 1200 series anymore? My contact at my service dealer has retired, and I've been in contact with two of his replacements. It has become clear to me that if I am not using terms like "blank cheque" and "brand new" then I am not even worth replying to.

Thanks guys.

Mick

I have SmartWorx Viva v5.70 firmware but it is for CS15 and Total Stations TS11. ,12, 15. Not sure it is what you need.

LII,

I'm pretty sure that this firmware will not load on a 1200 series instrument.

But thanks for replying!

Mick
