Well, from advice on a previous thread, this old robotic is working great that is, until, the gun stopped displaying distances while tracking.?ÿ ?ÿIt track the prism, but wont shoot a distance.?ÿ My only discovered remedy for this is to turn everything off then restart, and do this a second time, then she's off and running again.?ÿ I am thinking it may be ME touching something on the screen, telling the instrument to only track horiz and vertical angle ??ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ running survey pro 4.7.1 on a TDS ranger, the communication seems great between the two SD1000 parani bluetooth units.?ÿ?ÿ
Stumped again?ÿ ?ÿAny Ideas ??ÿ I'd like to keep this for a few more years before retiring.?ÿ

Will the total station measure a distance if you manually initiate the measurement on the instrument? The track system and the EDM are separate functions on Topcon robots. (perhaps on all robots) It can track but not measure. If the track beam fails, it could measure a distance but not track. If the instrument will measure when initiated manually on the instrument, I suspect that a setting in Survey Pro got changed inadvertently.
@jerrys. Yes, the instrument will shoot when initiated at the gun. I'll check the Survey pro settings thanks Jerry
