Ever since a couple months ago, I have not been able to use Topcon Tools with my Windows 7 computer. It seemed to correlate with a Windows update. I have since had to use a second computer with Windows XP to do my GPS processing.
I thought I had it licked by installing a Windows XP virtual drive, but the XP doesn't recognize the dongle, so I have just the trial mode. I tried to install an xp driver for the dongle, but didn't succeed.
Does anyone have ideas? I hate having to use two computers to process my GPS data. Topcon says, yes, there is a problem, by no solution yet.
Thanks.

maybe try downloading the latest version from Topcon? I think release 8 is out. I am using 7 on Windows 7 with no problem.
Your dongle will work with the latest version.
Tools 7.5 is the latest version I'm aware of -- I've been running it on Windows 7 for some time now without serious problems. No dongle though.
I am using Version 8. No go. Neither will V7 on my Win 7 (32 bit) computer.
You can download V8 from the Hayes support site.
Both versions will work on my old win xp laptop.
