Any experience with Topcon's new Magnet software. How's that to use? Better than TopSurv?
Do you use it on the keyboard Topcon FC-2600, or the new touch-screen Tesla? How is it different, which is best?
We recently purchased a 2600 with the Magnet software. It runs terribly slow, not all that pleased.. I just got dropped off a Tesla literally ten minutes ago to try out for a bit. We will see how that goes.
We're about to get Magnet DC Software and Tesla with the Topcon IS-3. I'd like to know more about everyone's experiences too.
We are running magnet on a tesla with GPS for construction layout only.
We got it on a FS-2600 along with a Topcon PS robot, and did not like it at all. At this time I am not in a position to discuss our problems with it on a public forum. That said, I would not recommend it to anyone.
I've been using the Tesla w/ Magnet for the past 3 days.. The Tesla runs Magnet a whole lot faster than the 2600. That's not saying much considering the 2600 is EXTREMLY slow with Magnet. However the Tesla is pretty quick. It does tend to freeze up for about 10-20 secs, 5-6 times a day. I have found several gliches too. I would rather a 2500 running TopSurv 7.5.2. Never any problems there.
