While my office doesn't use Topcons, we use Leica's, another of our offices that did only DOT work has lost its survey department. Thier equipment was donated to a college geomatics program that is starting up but we happened to acquire this GPT-7001 total station. Anyone know about this gun? i know it's a 1 second and had a windows CE touchscreen, but it isn't responding to screen taps. any guesses if it's worth repairing?
The 7001 is a bit bulky but in my experience they are accurate instruments if they are properly adjusted and maintained. I would blue tooth a data collector up to it and rock and roll. If I remember correctly it has a hot relectorless edm.
