We have the Crains, but go the extra mile and permanently set the legs in 5 gallon buckets of concrete. Just to be extra safe we epoxy the buckets to a sheet of 3/4" plywood (with a hole cut out in the middle so we can see the point of course). We leave two guys with the instrument at all times incase it does fall, the first one is fired and the second one can give him a ride home.
Not really. we typically set up in dirt with sand bags on the legs and resect in.
