There's plenty to do...but nowhere to do it.

Might as well listen to some appropriate music.

Stevie said it all too well.

Keep that $#1^&& south of I-44, please

I need to get dried out for a couple of weeks. Combine ruts are still full of water from last Fall.

I would oblige, if I only had control of the situation....;-)

Although we're still a little under on rainfall amounts according to the "big picture", it is getting kinda soupy around here, too. The dogs have their mud trail from the back door to the front room by "my chair". I clean it every day and it comes back.

I sure hope you don't let any of your bovine "pets" indoors..

I had two clear days last week - a Friday and a Saturday. That is the first time I had been out in about three weeks.
The forecast is rain through next Saturday or Sunday.
I have some office work to do, but I am catching up.

It's definitely Floodin' Down in Texas right now, but, I still vividly remember 2011 and the cries for rail and cooler weather. As of right now, these slow, soaking rains are recharging some badly depleted water tables. It's tough to work in this, and today we aren't, but, I'm always happy for rain.

In fact, I pray for rain and work. You can never have too much of either.

That's funny. That picture was taken in 2003 after 25 days or so of over 100° everyday. That was the last day of a 3000 acre gas unit and I absolutely welcomed the water. It was the coolest day of the year and the only water we had found in the Sabine River bottom over 3000 acres. 🙂

Most people don't believe we get into areas like that and how we get through. I tell them we are better than any 4wd pickup. 🙂

I'm glad you didn't try and tell me you were riding best fence-jumping hunting mule!

60 degrees and mostly sunny today. I actually turned the AC on on the way back to the shop.

Of course prior to that I got railed because field work is so far behind...really? Engineers....everyday is 72 and clear to them. 😉

I have not had more than one day in the field in almost 3, maybe 4 weeks. Between extreme cold, ice, snow, or conferences, it has been impossible to get anything done.

I just watched the weather forecast, and there is not less than a 60% chance of rain between now and at least Friday.

I am not too far from Harold. I am not sure what part of Mississippi he is in. I am about 30 miles north of Memphis.

3.98 inches of rain in the 36 hours from Sat morning to Sun evening. But it's warming up.

Make that Sun. morning to Mon. evening. I lost a day but I don't think it was worth keeping anyway.

Still raining here in Northeast Mississippi. Forecast says a lot of rain days for the upcoming week and beyond!
