We had some made up with our name on them to give away.
Koh-I-Noor Sold Templates To
Back in 1990+/- Koh-I-Noor, the pen people, received approval to build a new manufacturing plant in a township for which the firm I worked for were Township Engineers. A group of Koh-I-Noor executives came to the firm's office for a preconstruction meeting. After the meeting they dumped several cardboard boxes of templates, curves and triangles on the conference table and invited all the grunt engineers and draftsmen to have at it. I did not bother with anything I already had but picked up quite a few unusuals.
That plant has now been closed for a long time. Ink jet plotting really hit them hard.

Dad had quite a collection (probably 40+) of all the different ones that people/companies had made as promo schwag. I'm not sure where the stack is now... I'll have to look tomorrow.
Still have one in my field book, for the rare occasions that I make field notes these days. Back in the day we would cut strips of tape to but between the holes to use while inking drawings. Brings back memories of a time forever gone.

I remember seeing a package of clear plastic adhesive dots that were intended to be applied to templates for inking purposes.Tape worked fine for me, and I couldn't see paying $0.99 for them!
