The segment starts at the 16:30 mark. Some funny stuff here.
Not where I would be looking for something connected to our serious profession.
I got an email from an NGS employee to alert me to it. I emailed Michael this morning and he said the trophy is marked "Made in China" so it is clearly an International Foot. Too funny.
Ya it was on while I was surfing my phone, heard something and was like WHAT??ÿ Had to rewind it and watch, and then try to explain to the wife, who to her credit grasps most of that stuff without the background.?ÿ She kept saying, "if you change the definition of the foot, doesn't that change the length of an inch?"?ÿ Told her that does not matter, cause we measure in 10ths! LOL!
Starts at 16:08
Simple, scrap that silly international foot, problem solved!!!!
That was a lot of fun to watch. ?ÿVery enjoyable.
The "foot doctor" did a good job, AND they didn't edit the interview to ruin it as too often happens.?ÿ
The only improvement I could suggest would be to say that surveyors often use coordinates that cover an entire state, and that's where the millions of feet he mentioned come in.
It was great to see Michael Dennis representin'! If you've not attended one of his classes, you are missing out.
