The weather service said the early snow storm will produce 1-3" locally, with another 1-3' for today and Monday.

Woke up to this:

?ÿ

Since it's been very warm and dry the ground melted and soaked up the moisture which is a very good thing, however I measured a bit over 12" where it didn't have underneath melting warmth, the patio chairs were perfect for that.?ÿ?ÿ

Time to shovel, sending it east towards the rest of the country.?ÿ

If weathermen could predict as accurately as what we all wish they could do they would have never become weathermen.?ÿ Rich gamblers would have been their obvious career choice.

A current irritation is errors in radar maps online.?ÿ For some reason areas with large numbers of industrial wind turbines (windmills to most) will sometimes indicate rain in that area when there is none.

We got a few inches of snow yesterday in eastern Iowa. Des Moines reported whiteout conditions and 6 to 8". Strrets and sidewalks melted off right away here, but it is still on cars and ground.
