Just this week I've been hit up to do mundane type work in far flung cities. One for site staking 150 some miles one direction and another requesting easement work a few hundred miles in another direction.?ÿ
I've always traveled some distances but not for mundane tasks, seems there isn't enough help at these locations.?ÿ
There isn't a chance I would travel to do site staking, I won't even do it next to my office let alone 150 miles distance.
The easement work,,,,,,I'll take a look at that.?ÿ
It's good to be needed,,,,,,,,,I guess.?ÿ
As long as they are willing to pay your quoted rate, including travel, and you won't be leaving established clients in the lurch, no reason not to take the work if it is the kind of work you like doing.?ÿ
Better to have somebody like you doing it than one of those stamp mills.

Might be able to help out the one client, the issue is that they can't find surveyors in the area to do the work. The local guys are maxed out and not taking on any more work. I'm in the same boat.?ÿ
