Short one tonight. I imposed the image of me holding the rod over the area that we had to cross section today. Turned out sort cool I think.
The centerline started getting deep so I handed Michael the Ranger (blue tooth) and he tried to walk on the higher ground) and record the shots as we worked.
Just after this I stepped in a hole and sunk to my neck. Moment later he walked into another even deeper. I wish I had a picture of a lone arm holding the Ranger above the water. A classic moment and one that we all love.
This is about as shallow as it got on the south end. But with today's heat then the water felt pretty good.

But just for those that wanted some last weekends photos about non-surveying stuff. Derby.
Yes, it's a darned tuff life. Someone has to do it though.
Blessed again by the presence of the Bodhisattva known as Deral.
Very nice.

Deral,
When you're out of the survey environment and clean up, you look pretty dang good! Could you offer a few tips so as teach one to be a chick magnet...I don't think the sagebrush rubbed all over my body is working, the only thing I seem to attract is ticks.
Pablo
Does OSHA know you're working in neck-deep water without flotation gear? I'm surprised your city's safety rules allow it, let alone you and Michael.
I'm a frequent offender when it comes to working in vehicle traffic (though I'm much more diligent in keeping my employee out of it), but when it comes to water I don't take chances. Drowning is among my least favorite ways to die.
Deral,
great job, indeed one to remember.
I know you're into safety, we discussed this before here but Jim has a point, safety matters, everywhere and always.
Enjoy the week end as much as the survey trip!
Christof.
It in his pocket... Third pic from the top! B-)
