Anyone watch The Chase this evening? In the last 10 minutes or so, they had this question:
Geodesy is the study of what?
None of the contestants got it.

Yes, intermittently. Unfortunately, I missed that question. However, on Jeopardy! the other night there was a surveyor's question concerning the Mason-Dixon line. I don't think any of the contestants got that one either.

I only watched a few minutes, but saw that portion of the show. I think the question was actually phrased as "... the study of the shape of what?" or perhaps "... the study of the surface of what?" I got a chuckle out of the blank looks the contestants all suddenly displayed.
