I recently took delivery of a used TDS Ranger 300X. It is a replacement for a Ranger 200T that suffered water damage during an intense, pop up thunderstorm.
It is working really good, except for one thing. It will not auto power off. I went into the power settings, and it is set to turn off after 5 minutes, but it stays on. We stopped for lunch the other day, and had to do some calcs for the afternoon layout, and I had put the collector in the truck. I picked it up, and it was still on after about an hour and a half.
One other thing that I have noticed is that when you power on the unit, it defaults to the windows start screen. I have to click on the TDS icon to start or switch back to Survey Pro.
I have looked, but cannot find any settings to change these settings.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jimmy
Maybe a complete reboot is in order. Mine is a 200c, and it sometimes needs a "Visit with reality" with a reboot.
-Windows icon (bottom left of Home screen)
-Settings
-Power
-Advanced
Select: "Turn off screen if device is not used for XX minutes"
When you are done for the day or for a long period of time, be sure to completely power down the Ranger. Hold the green Power button for 3 seconds, release, and select "Shutdown". If you just turn the Ranger off by pressing the green power button alone, it will be dead in the morning.
Hope this helps.
***Never mind***
I just read your entire post. It appears as if you tried this. Sorry. My reading comprehension sucks. LOL!
