Chris has a TDS Nomad that he uses, and it would be nice to be able to copy files to it from a USB thumb drive. I found his cable on ebay, and was wondering if it would allow us to copy files to and from a USB thumb drive.

You can change out the black boot on the bottom of the Nomad so that it has a USB plugin instead of a 9 pin. Here's one on eBay for $12

I saw that, but we need the 9 pin port for the Parani bluetooth unit to plug into to run the robot.

I don't think so. But if it has WiFi or Bluetooth file transfer would be easy. I've got a 9 pin, usb, WiFi and Bluetooth on my Nomad.

Thanks. My two Ranger data collectors have the standard usb port on them where I can plug in a USB thumb drive, and I can export and copy files to it. It is very handy.

I can drop the day's work on the thumb drive, and never have to crank up the laptop until I get in the house or office for the evening.

I was hoping that the Nomad had a similar feature. I guess not.

Jimmy, I've never tried it. Just might work. Let me know.

Thanks
