I've been hearing that Trimble is offering discounted pricing on TBC Advanced for current TGO users, but there have been some discrepancies in the numbers. At least 2 people have posted here using $1,400.00 and $1,500.00. Today my dealer contacted me and said I can get it for $1,595.00. He also said that the offer expires at the end of the month.
If anyone has gotten solid information from their dealer, I'd like to reality-check the offer mine put forth.
Thanks.
Hmmm. I heard $1500 and good til end of year.
I ordered 2 seats at $1400 each earlier this month. I was told that deal was good until the end of the year. I can email you the dealer contact info if you want.

Please do. The email in my profile is good.
Thanks!
The info has been sent.

I just sent you an email from this site. I hope it reached you. I'll send more info tomorrow.

Could you send me the contact information for the dealer as well? I'm definitely interested in the software. Thanks.
I just read that the Trimble Business Center software is a full-featured least squares network analysis tool, allowing for the incorporation of both GNSS and terrestrial based observations, as well as a GNSS postprocessing tool. That makes this special offer all the more attractive.
Here are the details as I understand them. The dealers have to buy in blocks of 10, at a certain price (which my dealer told me but I don't want to disclose). They are supposed to sell each for a list price of $1500. But, of course they can discount that if they want (or make it higher, I guess). However, unless they have 10 sales lined up, they are taking a bit of a risk since they must buy the whole block.
I was at a USCE conference this week, several were complaining because they have the USB ports disabled on their computers (for security), and TBC uses a USB dongle. They were also complaining because they get government issued blackberries that have bluetooth disabled (security again). If they want to use a VRS they cannot connect from the data collector to the phone, even though they have a data connection. And apparently there is no way to direct connect with a cable.
