If using trimble machine control then this is obviously your only choice. I find the surface building functions very reliable and accurate for corridor grading. Building templates and alignment are cake.

I use it daily to process RTK, static, and Pipelines data, it works fine for that. It will also do a passable job on field-to-finish if you take the time to set it up and learn it, although I don't presently use it for that. The least squares adjustment is a little weak in some areas but is good enough for the rare occasions that I need it - I've taken to processing static networks in OPUS Projects here lately, but I still run it through TBC as a check.

If you run a lot of Trimble GPS and/or data collectors it's handy to have.
