I was working on a site in Millington, Tennessee last fall, and saw the infamous Google Earth car drive by. Yep, they caught me working!

I guess I have made the big time!

Edit: I hoped the picture would have been bigger

One of our crews was caught by Google back in 2009 on a very remote site.

Can't be THAT remote:: 1)the road's paved, and 2) Google actually drove down it.

I don't know what your definition of remote is but to get to this spot the crew would have started at the community of Kitwanga, where Hwy 37 begins. They would have driven north for approx. 3 hours during which time they would have passed no other communities, businesses or homes. The only roadside facilities would be a few highway rest stops with pit toilets, a couple of abandoned buildings and one or two Provincial parks.

The site where they were photographed is just north of the fishing lodge at Bell II. The lodge has fuel pumps and a small cafe. No power or phone lines. If they were to continue north it would be another 3.5 hours to the community of Dease Lake. Again, no other services or residences until you get there. No cell service, no AM or FM radio, limited radio/phone service via satellite.

Google drove this highway because it is literally the only route through the region.

I don't see anyone working in your pic! LOL

We were caught a few years ago on Carnival Day in Provincetown. Yes we were working, but also admiring the costumes that Thursday in August.
