Is there a way in Survey Pro to calculate an offset intersection similar to program 61 for the geodimeter? We recently migrated from Geodimeter to Survey Pro and while I am very familiar with Geodimeter I am not familiar with Survey Pro. Basically I ask as we are setting out lots of 5'x5' offsets and our lines are not always perpendicular. Right now our office calculates the offsets for us but I would like an easy way to do it in survey pro.

Maybe check out YouTube also for help?
I like MicroSurvey FieldGenius way more than SurveyPro, but to each their own.?ÿ SurvCE/PC good also, but never used it.
Lots of Android apps also with different ways to do things and hardware support.?ÿ Personally, seems FieldGenius for Windows is pretty established if not using high cost best programs from Trimble and Leica.

Is there a way in Survey Pro to calculate an offset intersection
I know that there is a way. I don't have access to SP at this time and haven't for morethan a couple years. But I'm quite certain that can be done.?ÿ
I believe in the old survey pro I remember an intersection of lines and offset. Geezers that was before Trimble bought them. What version of survey pro are you running. ?ÿI found a few manuals online with a quick google search but they all pop up spectra precision survey pro. ?ÿI have a old tds manual at the office. Tds was survey pro before it was named survey pro. I can look in it tomorrow as well. ?ÿ What geodometer were you running. Man that brings back memories.?ÿ
How familiar are you with the Point & Direction Cogo routine in SP? It??s a fairly straightforward two step process. First create your offset points by starting at point A on line A-B, add or subtract 90 and add your distance. Create similar offsets points for Points B,D,C. Once you??ve created the 4 offset points, do a bearing bearing intersect using bearing A-B & C-D ( the bearings don??t change assuming offsets are equal distant and in their respective quadrant. Hope that makes sense. Making yourself a little sketch never hurts.?ÿ
FieldGenius, but maybe something similar in SurveyPro.?ÿ Maybe a online help website to search fir this?
You can download their software and use as a demo with 30 point limit.

this is about the only thing I appreciate the Captivate or Worx etc software from Leica...the Bisected point....it's funny that as I set up to use it in a staking routine that I'm getting the hypotenuse of the two orthogonal forward and backwards AP.?ÿ Don't get me started about the other things that my dyslexia and it's issues with back and fore chaining and inconsistent math engine failures that make me go crazy when I'm backwards and flipped viewing the flopped in/out and left and right of the total station..

Years ago you could offset points (imagine batter boards) or create a poly line and ??offset line/poly line. ?ÿOffset poly line sounds like what you want. ?ÿThis was all in Surve Pro 4.x or so??on the TSC2/Ranger.
