On Friday I was out and about taking misc pics of the leftover snow. I saw a neat spot with geese, a creek, etc... Wendell and I pulled over to the side of the road so I could get out and snap a few and I found this:

I tried to go find the Witness Tree Post but I got honked at by these guys...:-/

I figure it is one of these trees in the water so when the water recedes, I'll go back and find the Witness Post. Not bad for a girl just out and about taking misc pics!!
🙂

Those carsonites are usually the witness marker. Those trees don't look old enough, unless a more recent scribe. I found a lot of those markers, with the monument typically within a couple feet ( sometimes vertically lol).

Yea...I was wondering...

I saw that one of those trees way out there had a white sign on it but it was too far away for me to read. I thought that might have been the right tree. I would have had Wendell go with me to look and discover, since technically he is the Land Surveyor (I'm just the wife!) but the healing broken ankle meant he had to stay in the car this trip.
(Plus he didn't want to step in goose crap!) :-O
