After cleaning my computer from an untimely viral attack i can no longer use my current version of Survey Link. Since tds was consumed by trimble I now apparently need a hardware lock for my usb port. I have contacted trimble but no word about getting a lock.I need to run this software in order to store geodetic info from the points in the data controller. As always thanks for your replies

You need to contact spectra precision. Just to get this straight, you don't own any type of hardware lock at all?

Link is embedded in the survey module of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Go to the survey label on the tool bar, then survey data collection link and it will open survey link.

If you don't have AutoCAD C3D then you will have to get a USB lock BUT they do not work with Win 7 without some workarounds.
