hi, i was wondering about something lately since i face a lot of problems assembling total station at work, i really feel lazy and bored and i lose the energy to do anything when i hear my boss saying ( we got work to do ).
lately i was wondering if someone created a drone that can be positioned by 2 or 3 or 4 points, and when its fully positioned, it lights group of laser lines showing the whole building plan as it showed in AUTOCAD, u know, when u want to stakeout a building u have to calculate coordinates and all that stuff, so in that case it only needs just 1 man with a spray can to mark where its needed.
do we have something like this? or can someone create this thing? i'm really bored to do any work these days.

I can't tell if this post is serious or not??ÿ The answer is no!?ÿ Could someone create such a thing??ÿ I suppose but it would be expensive.?ÿ Just plot the building out at a scale of 1 to 1 and roll it out on the ground.

There are some pretty amazing things being done with machine control. etc.?ÿ And drones, and laser layout tools. So, maybe, someday and maybe not that long from now. It won't be cheap and will require a lot of setup. You may find that at least as dreary as staking.?ÿ

Personally, I find construction staking to be fairly interesting. Not from a surveying perspective so much - the work can be repetitive - but from a project management and personal interaction point of view.?ÿ ?ÿ

At Dimensions there were some really cool VR goggles being used to see 3D models overlay-ed on the existing surface..It's coming
