Was browsing OfferUp and figured I would see what was on there for survey equipment and ran across this Trimble S7 for sale. Definitely looks suspicious to me. Looks like it's on the Seattle area.

That could be the one that is using my serial number from my S7.?ÿ

I got a call a few weeks ago from someone in the Seattle area asking why I was selling my s7. I said what?!? He said he is looking at buying a used S7 with the serial number ƒ??.......ƒ? and he tracked that number to my company through my Trimble dealer.?ÿ

I would imagine my heart stopped till I was able to open my case and lay eyes on my S7.?ÿ

I pulled it out and had him read me the serial number. It matched exactly.?ÿ

I told him itƒ??s a stolen instrument with a forged serial number tag and to call the police. Never heard back.?ÿ

Kinda scary.?ÿ

It's one thing to be a thief, but it is really terrible to buy stolen equipment knowing someone needs it to make a living.?ÿ
