I have the Topcon GT with the ATP1 360 prism. I have an issue to where when I am staking out a point the tracking mode will not update the way I want it to. For instance, the stakeout will tell me to move away .02' - I move .02' - tracking updates to come in .03'. Now when I hit the measure button - it will tell me a more reliable come/away measurement but the tracking mode doesn't seem to "zero out".

Also, where is the measure-up point on an ATP1 360 prism? The salesman told me one thing and somebody said another. Can you measure to the rubber and add a constant?
When using the hybrid positioning adapter, is the rod height for the Hiper-V measured to the slant height tape hanger or to the bottom of the unit?

Change the edm from tracking to fine s or fine r.
Tracking measures to .1' rapid .01' and fine .001'

That worked! Thanks, Genius!
But what about the other questions?
And why does Magnet keep saying "uh-oh" like the old ICQ chat client?
google ICQ uh oh and you'll hear what I'm talking about.

That's correct. You are in course EDM mode which is 10mm or 0.025'

Hey Lee,
What are some reasons that the controller would be doing the uh-oh sound for during a stakeout?
Everything seemed to stake out fine.

Arc,

Probably the track alarm.

In Magnet Field. Go to Configure >Alarms and you can select want you want enabled.

How do like it so far? That sonic makes some weird noises, right?

Where is the measure-up point on an ATP1 360 prism? The salesman told me one thing and somebody said another. Can you measure to the rubber and add a constant?
That would be to the center of the prism. The prism is 100mm top to bottom, and can mount either way. So 50mm above the washer on your prism pole is center of prism.

When using the hybrid positioning adapter, is the rod height for the Hiper-V measured to the slant height tape hanger or to the bottom of the unit.
It would the ARP, or as you call it the bottom unit. But in Hybrid mode you still use the height to center of prism. There is an additional offset in the Hybrid prism setup.

Be sure to use the Robot prism pole with the offset adapter so the increments on the pole give you a direct read for prism height to the ATP1.

Hybrid works great. What GPS are you using with the GT?

Awesome information! I just took it out in the office and played with it. Thanks for the info.
So I'm using a Hiper-V in the hybrid solution. If I am taking shots with the GPS - is my rod height still the same as when I'm using the robot? Is the software doing the calculation of the antenna offset of .18 for me?

The hiper v and gt have been great so far. I love them. The long link Bluetooth has worked for me at around 275 feet. I haven't tested it any further than that yet.
