I've got one on these on the way over to test out.?ÿ
Wondering if anyone has experience to share??ÿ
?ÿ
Seemed like a better deal to go with the $150 trade in on the busted Scho ga52?ÿ instead of the $400 refurbish.?ÿ
I believe it's Atlas Electronics (or something like that, they advertise in the survey magazines) that offers a flat rate $175 repair.
I sent mine to them and got it back quickly.?ÿ Works perfect again.
thanks! I'll probably send them one of our slightly rough units, but trade in one that's pretty trashed.
I just did the trade-in for a Maggie. ?ÿLove my new Maggie.
The spot looks like a "Fisher locator" which the company was bought out by Schonstedt 40?ñyrs ago.
I have two SPOT locators. Mine is clean and looks like a demo one. It functions perfectly. My crew has one they have been trying to destroy and it has already been back to the factory once for repair. Both are less than one year old.?ÿ
?ÿ
Pro: I love the locator. It??s light, affordable, ergonomic, works great, and has a 7 year warranty.?ÿ
?ÿ
Cons: The spot is not very loud and I don??t hear great. The gain only goes up, if you need to turn it down it??s easier to turn off and go back up. The buttons are not that tough and constantly using them wears it out. The key pad is what needed repair.?ÿ
