I just received a Schonstedt GA-52Cx Magnetic Locator that I purchased off of eBay the other day. Does anyone know how to read Schonstedt serial numbers to find out the date of manufacture? Also, does any one know when they started manufacturing this particular model (the GA-52Cx)? As well as the manufacturing run of GA-52 and GA-52B?

OK, I figured out how to check the Serial Numbers...
OK, I just noticed that if you check your warranty status here, they tell you when the unit was manufactured. Turns out the unit I purchased still has a year of warranty left on it (although they do say you need to be the original purchaser).
