It's not like I hadn't been in the area quite a bit, but going out with a deed and reading it while standing on the ground can help identify calls, like the deed with the calls to the top of the rim rocks. Looking at google helped but it doesn't look anything like google, those photos seem to miss the nature of the real world at times they sure don't show the impact of the actual rims in person:
Standing near the bridge which was also called in the 1921 legal. The streaks in the photo are the snow flakes falling, almost May it can please stop now!!!
Looks like your everyday pin-cushion. 😀

Where in relation to the rock cliffs did the deed positions fall? I'm curious if you will need to locate the physical features and determine where the top of the "rim" actually falls. This would be an instance where neighbors having common sense would be helpful.

That's what fresh young help is for....
Think you will find any monuments?
I'd keep my eyes out for old robber's loot or an old boot legger shack or something. Looks like a great place for an old western cowboy/indian fight.

there is a 1/4 on the wall I need:
Be there tomorrow, about 300' from the rod............maybe 300' up too
Looks like fun - Really
Also looks like a great place for a den of snakes.
Bet you are wishing you had reflector less capabilities right about now!

Lots of snakes, snake country for sure
Many similar looking hollows and boxed in areas around here were filled with stills or livestock traps.
One way in and no quick way out........

I have the section corner to the east, figure about 50', two bearing trees, but it's so steep, 114 years is a long time, still only one way to know, go up and look, the section corner to the west is really up there+o(
