Has anyone ever played(? on a job ?), with this very cheap stuff?

I wonder how well it works with a reflect or less total station.

I have not used it surveying, but I have used reflective cord for mountaineering.

It is great for tent lines, as it really reflects headlamps, and prevents people from tripping on it. It also makes zipper pulls on jackets and sleeping bags easy to find.

It does cause havoc with camera flash though.

Never tried it with a total station, although non-reflectorness likely needs a larger target than a few threads in width.

Sounds like something a spelunker would need.
I know a surveyor who was more into caving and did a lot of sub-terranian mapping.
Think he was in Utah.

If it is reflective, would you need a reflectorless total station?

That's almost zen...

I use a couple of winds of reflective paracord around the lower part my walking stick. It lights up like crazy in headlights. It also makes a really nice dog leash that can be seen for good distance.
