When you visited the Stargazers Stone, did you also find the spike in the road, and plaque at the edge of the road, just west of the residence, marking the best estimate of where M&D set up their instrument?
I was there for the Surveyors Historical Society event in 2013 and had my turn driving the spike.?ÿ Also attended the dedication of the M&D stone recovered from a ditch and used to mark Mason's grave in Philadelphia.
