I took a first aid class last Saturday in preparation for my trip next month to Ecuador, I found it very interesting and useful. It was put on for us by some city EMS personnel who are also students at Pitt in their emergency medicine program. Cost me $2.30 (and only because i wanted a card, otherwise it was free for us).
