I was requested to provide a bid for some control work. I didn't really want it because of the time frame which was very tight and would be difficult to do since it would take almost all the GPS equipment.
Turned out I didn't get it which was OK until the client said, "you were really close on price, but, the other firm was just a bit lower, we were going to still use you because you were qualified to be onsite and they weren't but we found a way to work around that."
Huh?
As far as I know there is no way to "work around" that particular qualification.
In fact, you can get into real trouble if you try. Why do I get the feeling at the last minute I'm going to get a call.

All I hear is "CA-CHING!"
No time, can't do it. Scrambled to fit it in. As soon as I heard that it wasn't a go took on two other jobs with tight schedules. They are completely out of luck with me. Which is OK. Hate bidding anyway.
