I thought it was extremely odd that NGS recently put out an RFP for installation and maintenance of the handful of NGS CORS stations throughout the country....................to the lowest bidder.

It seems crazy to me that now that although NGS is no longer keeping up the ground based monument system, they cant take responsibility for the actual NGS CORS that will become the new "Cloud monument system".

As a small business we didn't even bid on the project because the cost expectation was so incredibly low per station.
