Just to make many of you jealous.?ÿ Presented a subdivision plat to a special meeting of a city planning commission tonight and had approval within 10 minutes.?ÿ Fifty-five minutes later I presented to the city council.?ÿ Five minutes later the mayor, clerk and city attorney were signing off on the plats.
The big delay was simply because the first meeting began at six and the second at seven.

In fact, this project was going to fly.?ÿ I could have pooped my pants and called the Mayor a bad name and they still would have voted to sign off on the final plat.?ÿ This is an industrial park and the first big lot has heavy equipment sitting on it waiting for the final version of the civil plans (by a different consultant) to be complete and blessed by the corporate powers that be.?ÿ The glorious groundbreaking ceremony took place eight days ago and made the front page of more than one small town newspaper.?ÿ Several of the shovel-wielding dignitaries seen in the photo accompanying the news story voted approval of the final plat last evening.
