The laser in the prism-less gun has trouble shooting with snow on the ground so I find myself shooting the feet of elk as they walk around so as to get shots of the lay of the land.

I did something similiar in Saxman, down towrds Ketchikan. Doing a route topo for a waterline, couldn't pull a distance off the ground, so I shot the yellow flowers of the skunk cabbage. They all averaged about 0.5', so they became my "rod man"! Well, done, as usual, Daryl. I'll be back in Anchor town in November, buy ya a brew if you're around!:beer:

Is that bear any good at finding corners? Looks like he can move lots of snow per swipe.
