Hoping someone can help me out here, maybe @bm-nolan ?

From what little I can find, all of these units (I am sure there are more) use the Phantom P40 board and are manufactured under the umbrella company Beijing UniStrong Science & Technology Co., Ltd.

-Hemisphere S631

-Carlson Brx7

-FOIF A90

-Uni Strong G970ii Pro

I would assume all of  these can be used with FieldGenius?

Are there any functional differences in these units? Locked to certain regions? The S631 and Brx7 are very popular in my area and are considered the same unit (with some caveat in what software can be used

Any help would be great : )

Thank you!

P.S.

It looks like the Uni Strong G990ii is the newest version along this line. Does anyone have any experience with it compare to the mentioned above units?

After some more research, it seems all these models that are manufactured new, with the exception of the Brx7 and S631 are now using the Unicore UM980 board.

Does anyone have any data on Phantom 40 performance vs the Unicore UM980?

Hi CGI, The P40 board is no longer made by Unistrong as due to the US CHIP Act, Hemisphere was required to be sold off. They are now under the Case New Holland umbrella. (This also means all manufacturing is moving back to NA!)

https://media.cnh.com/north-america/cnh/cnh-completes-purchase-of-hemisphere-gnss--consolidates-guidance-and-connectivity-tech-capabilities/s/2f5893e0-2b5f-4824-b7af-d900ed9be6ab

The Carlson BRx7 is built for Carlson by Hemisphere (it is an S631 with a different enclosure). Carlson is a bit greasy (in my opinion, I do work at a spot that sells the S631) in that the S631 will work in their software anywhere but the US and Canada. I have used and opened up both, the internals are identical.

All these units are using the same enclosure for the time being until manufacturing is shifted, when I suspect the S631/BRx7 will look slightly different.

As for the Unicor board I have done some limited testing, it seemed pretty good but it doesn't have the SureFix feature and it did some strange things (in my admittedly limited testing) near trees and buildings.

Sorry for the delay in the answer I have been a busy guy the last month here.
