I am personally opposed to the LighSquared concept and proposal. That is not a fight to be made here but is something I would engage in. However when considering a fight one must be prepared to accept that one might lose.

Given that I have some specific questions. I have several Ashtech Z-12s that I still use. Instead of the Whopper antennae I use Leica 502s.

Your filter technology may be a part of the solution but how will it be implemented?

Must it be built into the antenna or is it a line filter that can be installed between the receiver and antenna?

If so can it be powered by in place receiver output to the antenna?

Antenna

Hi Paul, I explained details in another thread. You needed a new antenna. The cost of a new antenna was about $2,000. Our retrofit plan was between $300 to $800. Please read my comment in the other thread.

Is It A Physical Or Electronic Filter?

That response in the thread is inadequte. A link to a specific article would be nice.

Would that retrofit price apply to any existing antenna?

Has your antenna been tested on legacy equipment?

Would it in fact improve or just not adversely effect the receiver solutions?

Does it improve solutions with or without LightSquared signal interferences?

Is It A Physical Or Electronic Filter?

I am a fan of Javads, regardless of the hype.... because he saw how to incorporate the Russian Sats long before others did, and made GPS into a better product. His work speaks for itself. Now, I just need 2 nice new green receivers in the UPS truck! ~ N

Is It A Physical Or Electronic Filter?

I'd go even further to ask if anyone has actually seen this filter? Or is this just an idea?

Is It A Physical Or Electronic Filter?

According to the ads, the new filters are in every receiver he makes. I'm told they are even cheaper to produce than the original filters. So it's a win win. Narrowed interference for the user at a slightly less expensive production cost to the manufacturer.
