Tomorrow we enter week three. Not allowed into today's work until midmorning so I'm in the laundromat in lovely Simi Valley, California right now.
Glad to able to stay in touch with us here, at least.
Tomorrow we enter week three.?ÿ

You've been quite the road warrior during your tenure with state agencies, but when you joined the fire service you entered another level of commitment.?ÿ It's not for everyone (like me!), but I appreciate your ability to maintain a highly professional attitude regardless of the hardship.
Are you OK? According to the LA Times Simi Valley is in danger.
pretty crazy times..... stay safe.
If he's in the city of Simi Valley, he should be okay.
I just looked at CalFire current incidents and Inciweb - Creek Fire. The Thomas Fire hadn't crossed the 126 as of the latest progression map. The other possibility is the Creek Fire, but it's a bit away to the East/Northeast and at 98% containment.?ÿ
The Fire on the southeast is above Santa Paula and Fillmore which are one valley north of Simi Valley. Hopefully go home on Tuesday, hopefully nothing else happens.
The other crew almost escaped but we had to call them back to help us, they made it to Santa Clarita when my boss turned them around.
My crew member left us so my boss is working for me which is handy because he is handling all the "client" communications and general management.

Ah, I so miss Ventura/Santa Barbara counties.?ÿ Too many friends displaced by the Thomas Fire and too many of my former surveys burned beyond recognition too.?ÿ Take care Dave and turn the light off when you leave...
