@rj-schneider I thought I was the only one who managed to send them flying.

@jaro thank you. I removed them from brick siding in a old house in Cheyenne Wyoming. Cool story a least lol.

An update on setting Mag nails in pavement: I was setting a large Mag nail in pavement yesterday and heard that little voice in the back of my head saying, "You'd better protect your eyes - that nail could go flying." I listened and did take the time to protect my eyes. The nail had better ideas and went for my kneecap instead. Just a little puncture but last night I was wondering if my surveying was over. Goodness that hurt.

Nearly 30 years ago I did that with a railroad spike going into pavement.?ÿ Still have the scar.?ÿ That was quite painful.

Just curious why use those nails when a standard hammer drill will allow the setting of https://ramset.co.nz/Product/Detail/79/ShureDrive-Drive-Anchors or any number of concrete screws with ease?

@lukenz Because the drill is sitting on the shelf in the utility room where it does a fat lot of good. I'll go charge it now and put it back in the car where it belongs.
