I remember discussion of recent past whether there was an oath that Surveyors take as a part of their licensing.

I could not remember the wording at the time, so as stated on the Texas renewal form in red ink text and represented in the online renewal by checking YES box it reads:

"I hereby affirm that I will place the interest of the public above all others in my practice of Professional Land Surveying and I will adhere to the Texas Professional Land Surveying Practices Act and General Rules of Procedure and Practices adopted by the Board."

Renewal fee $379
CEUs & Association fees $325 + $309

Starting another year as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor, priceless

Yeah. I thought about that when I renewed online this year. It's nuts that we're spending a thousand bucks a year for the privilege of being licensed surveyors.

I'm not too crazy about the oath either. Way too subjective. But if you want to keep earning a living as a surveyor you better agree.
