I have a Trimble geodimeter 5602 and use it in robotic (remote mode) constantly. The data collector automatically connects to the gun long enough to compensate, resect, set backsight, etc. After collecting or staking one or two points of data, it will display a message of no radio link detected. The only way to fix this is to return to the gun, disconnect from the battery. Start from scratch on the compensator and then the whole setup will operate for hours without problem. This obviously becomes a real problem when operating at great distances from the instrument. Has anyone else heard of or experienced this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Chad M.
