I bought this 1997 Two-Door Tahoe last week as a back-up for my 2004 suburban. I figured the mileage would be a little better for errands and such. I'm going to build a box for the back to use in a pinch if needed. I can get 66" with the rear seat folded down.

It has a 30 gallon tank and 3.42 axle ratio. I was on the highway with the crusie set at 72 mph and it was only turning 1850 rpm.

It was hard to find a two door full size with the barn door option, which this one has. There's usually one or two on eBay at a time and most of them are beyond whipped.

I need to put on new shocks and get a spare key, otherwise, it's ready run.

Looks nice. I'm working out of an 07 Tahoe which is too luxurious for a survey wagon. I put four 12" pipes bolted together in a square for tripods, lath, and tools capping the front ends. This set-up pretty much keeps all the mud and dirt at the back where it is easy to clean out. Bucket and stakes are on the floor in the back and the instruments go in the passenger rear door (which you don't have).
