In Australia we are transitioning to gda2020 over the next couple of years. It's been almost 2 decades since our last datum change which has always been static. gda2020 will be dynamic, if not atleast a little confusing. I believe other countries around the world are adopting dynamic datums aswell. What has been your experience with this and how has your office/field software handled it? I use carlson both in the field and office so particularly interested how they will or do handle it.

Take good notes about the transition...in the states we're going to be two years behind you, 2022, so we'll be asking you for advice.

I think it's going to be a bit messy, I don't know anyone set up to be dynamic, the epoch and Geoid changes became messy so I can imagine dynamic control will be interesting.
