With all of the political hay being made by the White House and the revelations of our country's ability's and techniques, I expect to be seeing some of our satellites and other security systems being attacked and disabled. Our satellites can be attacked electronically or being in low earth orbit could be subject to missile attacks. Secrets relating to our intelligence ability's have been necessary in the past in order to prevent counter measures. Looks to me like some of our leaders are using the very things that have allowed for us to keep track of our enemies are being reveled only for political gain. In years past that would have been considered treason and those responsible would have been harshly dealt with. Why do we need to relearn the lessons of the past the hard way?

One erroneous attribution to NGA is the description regarding the analysis of electro-magnetic signals from terrestrial sources ... that's what the "Puzzle Palace" (NSA) does, not NGA.

A number of years ago, when General Clapper took over NIMA and consolidated it with some other assets, he decided that a new name was going to be given to the agency. He chose "National Imagery and Geospatial Analysis Agency." Some days later, a group of high-level advisors of the new agency pointed out to General Clapper what the acronmym would spell and how it would likely be pronounced.

Therefore, it is now NGA and not the former choice ... true story.

P.S. General Clapper is a straight arrow. He is NOT a politician.
