1"=1320'
awesome!
I use 1"=20chain...so I can use the 20 scale on my "engineers" scale,
DDSM;-)
Been using 1"=80 Chains for a while. works quite well.:-P
Let me guess, you're into drawing well location plats huh???
LOL! The State of Texas requires that the location plat be at 1" = 1000', AT LEAST, regardless of the size of the lease.
I once drew a 4 acre saltwater permit plat at 1" = 1000'. Also, I have about two or three gas leases that are in excess of 3000 acres and they must be at 1" = 3000' to get it one.
The RRC requires that ALL W1 plats be on legal sheet. That makes it REALLY fun when you work the as-drilled plats and have multiple kicks, take points, et cetera and have to tie the surface, pop, first and last take points, and bottom hole, two two survey lines and two lease/unit lines, each complete with coordinates (lat, long, north, east) for each point.
It gets cramped REALLY quick. 🙂
I have a scale that has reading of:
1" = 660'
1" = 40ch
1" = 1/8mi
1" = 10
B-)
1" = 25' Then the metric is even...
I've always thought it would be fun to have a scale of something like 1" = 41-7/16'. Can you imagine anyone trying to determine where that scale came from?
Soooooo, let's see now. Three inches is 123 feet plus 21/16 of a foot. Oh, wait. Make that 124 feet plus 5/16 of a foot. How many inches in 5/16 of a foot?
