Hi, everyone,

I've been using the Leica ts15 for a year now and I've had an occasional issue when using survey+ to run a traverse. Every now and again it will give me an error message and I'll have to rename my occupied point from 1 to 1 (1), or from 2 to 2(1)... Etc. I can't figure why it happens...it seems to be random. this gives our office guys a tough time when closing the traverse on the computer when we bring it in. Why do you get this message? Is there anyway around renaming my occupied station or preventing the message from popping up?

Thanks

Survey+ is one of the apps within Viva. Could it be a control job / working job issue? I've never encountered an error like that. What does the error actually say? Are you performing a manual input of the number or choosing it from the point list?

Hi Zerobage

I have had the same issue a couple random times this year. I wasn't able to find any reason for it.. quirk I guess. Don't you love the unfamiliar language it spits out, "point code mismatch" what a bunch of bs. How about pt# already exists what would you like to do overwrite / re-number. Why is leica trying to reinvent the wheel. :-S Frustrating
I hate to be bashing leica all the time but the software is buggy
Just curious how are you exporting your data im exporting to rw5 file then converting to a fbk. When ive encountered the issue your referring to the fbk is fffd
it will have me occupying pts before the fs ang/dist data is there.

hello Zeromage,

the times i have run into this have been when using the multiple backsights routine for a station setup and accidentally choose to set orientation and height instead of just orientation. it doesn't like that this station has measurements already attached to it so it will require you to enter a new point number.
