Leica TS12 CMOS battery

Hi Everyone,

I have a Leica TS12 that I bought it new back in 2014. It has been problem free until recently. The instrument does not remember the time/date, calibration values or the configuration settings for the RH16 after turning the instrument off and then back on. I suspect it is the CMOS battery. I spoke to the local dealer and at first they said it sounds like the battery but they called me back and told me that the battery cannot be replaced and the only way to fix it is to replace the main board which is probably more money than the instrument is worth.?ÿ

has anyone had any experience with this??ÿ
