I had the three working together fine in the office.?ÿ I went out to the field and kaput, nothing seems to work.?ÿ I was hoping that someone could shed some light on the settings I need to make these talk to each other. ?ÿ

For what it's worth, the RH1200 is on, as the radio light on, and will blink the comm light.?ÿ The SurvCE acts as though it connects and is sending / receiving data, but then presents an 'Error Reading Data!' when I try to check the backsight.

Thanks for any help.

We often have troubles w/connections to our Leica TS using Carlson SurvCE. I found that going to the Instrument menu, highlighting our TS and OKing it seems to work as it will try to reconnect. We now in fact do this as a matter of routine.

I had similar situation and the battery was the cause. It could be ATR camera or Edm?ÿ motors. Can you hear the specific sound from top of the scope when you are trying to shoot the distance? Is the gun working fine without the data collector?? I heard that the Edm motors get fried often on 1200 series.

Below are the settings for my combo with 1201 and Allegro Cx SurvCe2.62 and RH1200

?ÿ

1. On the Leica 1200 total station, go to the main menu. This is the screen with six large icons. You may need to press ƒ??Escƒ? a few times to get to it.
?ÿ
2. Choose 5-Configure, and then 4-Interfaces.
?ÿ
3. Press the down arrow to highlight ƒ??GeoCOM Modeƒ?, and then press F3-Edit.
?ÿ
4. Press the down arrow to highlight the port. Use the Left/Right arrows to select Port 2 (Handle).
?ÿ
5. Press F5-Device then tap F6-Page to get to the Radios tab.
?ÿ
6. Press the down arrow to highlight RH1200
?ÿ
7. Press F3 for Edit. Tap the left arrow to set the Baud Rate to 115200
?ÿ
8. Press F1 for store, and then F1 for continue, then F1 for continue again. Wait for the hourglass to go away and wait for the red light on the radio handle to go off.
?ÿ
9. You should see a Green power indication light on the radio handle. Tap F1 for continue one final time to return to the Main Menu

Thanks for the replies everyone.?ÿ I got it to work. I had the handle set on RCS instead of GeoCOM somehow. Then I had both and it wouldn't work.?ÿ ?ÿThese things sometimes... Now just to make sure the settings don't get changed again.?ÿ
