Hi all,

any input about powertrackerX would grateful, little info out there.

Can it be use with Viva Smartworx. if latest frimware is loaded. My 1st option.

Things I have tried:

We have FieldGenius running on Yuma tablet, all works find when connect to TPS1200. But when trying to connect to PowerTrackerX, level, joystick, and guides light and angles are display all work. but can not fire EDM or will not search or lock to target.

-Should the Leica powertrackerX work with FeildGenius it is same unit as iCon50 I think? Have tried using both TPS(Geocom) & iCon50 setting in FieldGenius.

-Powertracker is running Version 1 of GeoCom. where the 1200 has V1.5 could this be the problem?

-Error massages I am getting are 'Leica:Waring:only angle measurement valid' & 'Prism not found' but does not search at all.

-I tried connecting through cable and Bluetooth. same issues

Thanks again

Because there is no faceplate on the instrument, I'm sure you need a 100% leica solution - software - controller. Obviously it is basically a 1200, but without a faceplate, so absolutely everything must be done through the controller software.
I don't think you can avoid calling Leica about this.
Hopefully the Leica guys will chime in for you.

BGL,

I would call MicroSurvey Support or go online to their website and submit a support request through their support section. MicroSurvey Support is very responsive to all of my past questions.

In the background this is what is happening... Hexagon owns Leica and MicroSurvey and from what I understand each Leica division is working with MicroSurvey to be able to provide extended functionality when interfacing with Leica instruments. I am not sure about the Icon side of Leica products. MicroSurvey Support should be able to answer the questions about needed firmware versions on the Leica instruments and needed versions of MicroSurvey products to achieve the needed interfaces. They are adding functionality constantly.

There will be differences in the software versions and their corresponding interface versions between System1200 (TPS1200) and Icon instruments. Yes they are physically the same instruments inside but the Icon software and System1200 software are two different creatures.
