I used a TS02, 2 second, 1000 metre range reflectorless in China.

It was great for low light conditions inside work with great optics.
I didnt like the laser plummet when working to 1.5 mm tolerance or less.
The logic was different to get used to and I did manage to on sell before I left due to it being a Leica unit, which was good.

Do other brands have such good optics for construction work.
Why do people dislike, is it because of the costly proprietry add ons, and is the cost worth it.

I may be going back and will need another unit.

Cheers
David

The problem with Leica is their reputation of being the best. Surveyors/Construction guys think that the "best" probably costs too much. Fact of the matter is Leica has come down in price to compete head-on with everybody else in the market. They're great guns, have great optics, last forever and retain their value better than anything else out there.

I don't see that Leica is more expensive than others, anymore. I've ben a user since the Wild days, and I've never felt that Leica/Wild was over priced. I have used other equoipment, such as Pentax when they first started, or a K&E Paragonwhen I first started!

Love the Leica stuff (except for their programming) 🙂

Inflexible software is my biggest problem with LEica.

If you want to ZERO the gun, it is several button pushes.

IF you want to read ang right ang left, it is several button pushes.

IF you want to read ft and Meters, it is several button pushes.

IF you want to do anything different, than LEica, well, you are dumb, and non progressive.

Make the simple things simple, and life is better.
