curious as to what kind of range and/or interference issues anyone might have encountered with a ctr16 cap. mine's been dropped a few feet once, about 8 months ago- nothing immediately noticeable in performance.

i have a vague sense lately, though, that maybe i should get this thing warrantied or at least looked at. but with a dearth of other local users (that i'm aware of, at least), i fear i may just be expecting too much. so how much "junk" should i expect in radio communication based upon relative proximity to, say, cell phone towers or other major sources of wave-form radio/electrical energy? to what effect should large physical objects interfere with radio communication- buildings and/or numerous large trees, for example?

seems like i'm only getting a few hundred feet of consistent radio if i'm in really dense areas or have the gun set up anywhere relatively near a transformer, cell tower, big telecom box, etc. as-builted a trailer park last week and it was spotty there too- my immediate impression being the radio didn't like operating in and among all the overgrown tin cans.

i'll be in the shop monday to pick up a second collector (graduating up to flyin solo x 2), just wondering if this seems like an issue or if anyone else is having the same experience.

I haven't seen much in the way of interference from utility objects. I am seeing a large decrease in range in heavy canopy. The new radio caps are source's for over 3k Feet. Keep in mind this is per d ext conditions. I see around 500 feet, sometimes less in deep woods. Outside of the woods in a normal environment I average around 1800-2200 feet.
